Over the last decade, both private and public organisations have become increasingly conscious of the importance of risk management and their obligation to provide a safe environment for everyone entering their facilities.

At Protective Surface coatings (PSC), we recognise this need and have created a business dedicated to ensuring that our client’s facilities are clean, presentable, and functional and meet the expectations of all stakeholders.

Responsive Supervision – A dedicated Operations Manager is appointed to the contract and supports the Site Supervisor. Our Operations Manager is contactable 24 hours per day.

Security – All employees have either a State or Federal police clearance. All employees are issued with an identification badge.

Operational Approach

At Protective Surface coatings (PSC), operates an effective initiation or contract start up process designed to ensure that we are prepared for any occurrence.

Our structured transition plan:

  • Ensures that equipment is on site
  • Allows for necessary additional instruction where specialised techniques, products, procedures or specialised care of unique surfaces is required
  • Allows for full induction training of employees prior to commencement of works
  • Allows time to implement on-site MSDS and Job Safety Analysis

The business model Precision Facility Services, utilises for the delivery of Facility Services is based on our strength in sub-contactor management. In essence, this strength is about flexibility – a “best of breed” approach of collecting and managing the right team of pre-qualified sub-contactors/service providers, to deliver the required outcomes in a timely and transparent manner. The select sub- contactors and service providers that Precision Facility Services have chosen to be a part of their projects have been through an exhaustive screening process.

Natural Stone Restoration

Our range of specialist stone, tile and grout care includes;

  • Care and maintenance of tile, grout and natural stone
  • Repolishing and restoration of tile, grout and natural stone
  • Restoration of lightly worn or etched polished marble, travertine, limestone and marble tiles
  • Recolouring, sealing and rejuvenation of grout
  • Concrete grinding, polishing and sealing
  • Marble, Limestone, Granite, Travertine – grinding, polishing and sealing

Precision Facility Services has developed a very detailed Human Resources process, which is recognised as compassionate and responsible. Our process aims to minimise any disruption that may occur by allowing incumbent staff to engage in discussions about their future without the pressure of a formal interview.

Consequently, At Protective Surface coatings (PSC), encourages all of its staff members to regard accident prevention and working safely, as a collective and individual responsibility.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure staff members and volunteers are aware of their responsibilities as employees/volunteers of PSC, and under associated legislation, and are committed to ensuring the health and well-being of staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors. In fulfilling this responsibility, all members of PSC have a duty to provide and maintain, as far as practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risks to health.

Hazardous Materials Management

PSC has adopted the policy of utilising the lowest possible level of toxicity for a chemical substance and minimising employees’ exposure to these substances.

Supervisors ensure that employees clearly understand and comply with all policy and procedures in using the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), decanting and storage techniques, recording of all chemicals in the chemical register etc., before use.

Contract Management

The success of continuing contracts can be attributed to the effectiveness and transparency of the communication process. Our experience has proven that the implementation of regular meetings enhances two-way communication, which results in the resolution of problems before they occur. Regular meetings also allow for the implementation of positive ideas and more accountable procedures.

Contract Management Review meetings have been adopted by our organization as a formal instrument to improve service delivery and communication. They also provide the ideal situation to review and set performance measures

Internal Performance Monitoring

This state of the art performance monitoring systems allows all parties to be part of a transparent performance monitoring and quality improvement process. The computer is used to monitor day-to-day service delivery and identify area for service improvement.

The same tool can be used by the client to monitor service delivery as well as by an independent third party auditor.

MITC – Management Information Technology Corporation

Timekeeping records are a major issue for our industry as the nature of our business requires a number of staff spread over a wide area, in many locations and working at varied and unusual hours.

When timekeeping records are not accurate, problems can arise with invoices to clients and payments to employees.

To provide a more effective service, Precision Facility Services uses a timekeeping system that simplifies the process and provides a precise record of the time worked at each location by our staff.

How MITC – (Management Information Technology) works

All that is required from the employee(s) is that they log in and out of the service via our client’s telephone.

Quality Assurance

Contract Management System

The Contract Management System provides clients with the opportunity to have all stakeholders involved in the contract management process, through access via email.

Security

While the system allows the client to work relating to their various sites, the system is secure and has different access levels. Work requests for a single site or for multiple sites can be emailed directly for prompt attention by Precision Facility Services additionally the status of pending work requests can be amended as required by the client.
